The Day I Never Knew I Was Waiting For
Relief. Happiness. Joy. Sadness. Mournful. Weird. Excited. Abandoned. Independent. Strange. Angry. Proud. Emotional. Peaceful. Tumultuous. Free.
Today was... a day that we all have been waiting for. A day that, less than 1 year ago I would have bet my entire life that I would never see. A day that I spent 23 1/2 years hoping I would never see, but yet, found myself counting down to. It's finally here, and I'm okay with that. Ready in fact, and certainly relieved. A weight lifted from everyone's shoulders. Today, my parents got divorced.
I am so proud of my mom. She is the single most amazing lady on this earth. I can't even begin to imagine the strength that it takes to pick yourself up, along with all of the thousands of broken pieces, and to make it out alive. In fact, more alive than ever. My mom is so unbelievable strong, and I am so excited for her to start her new life.
